++ Skyline Tower ++

Every apartment inside the Skyline Tower takes up half of an entire floor, and every last one of them has a magnificent view of Translucentia Heights, and Iacon, outside. The building has its own security team to keep out the riffraff.

Feint is busy at a desk, doing paperwork. LOTS of paperwork. That's going to be a major part of her life from here on out. Rather than just waiting for Blurr she's sent him a summons, requesting his presence; it's unusually formal and not like her to do at all. One might even say that it has an air of nobility or officialness to it. There's much to tell, and Blurr is rarely home these days to touch base with his endura.

Blurr returns to the Skyline Tower, where a favorite hab suite of his is, after a long day of training and other assignments. He doesn't try to get the jump on Feint this time, in fact he doesn't seem to look for her yet, just flops himself down in the sitting area and picks up a datapad to look at...something. He's the kind of person who has occupy himself, you know. For the past few megacycles he's sort of been avoiding any kind of conversation with Feint that is longer than a few breems...did he even get the message? Or is he just ignoring it?

"Blurr, dear, did you get my message?" she asks, not looking up from the desk as she continues writing furiously with a stylus. The books are piled high around her.

Feint may or may not notice that as Blurr was sitting there he had opened a compartment in the center table and taken something out of it. At a glance it looks like a small tube of some sort of clear liquid.

But when she addresses him, the racer startles and quickly puts it away. "Oh! Uh, right yeah I did, in fact I was just about to talk to you." he smiles and comes over to her tesk. "You really enjoy studying don't you?" The speedster chuckles.

Feint can see that liquid from a spectral analysis point of view; it's chemical composition radiates colors. Heck, giving her anything as a surprise is a moot point. She'll see through the box, and if it's behind your back, through you, too.

Turning around in her seat she halfway faces Blurr and her expression lights up with a big smile; she's always happy to see him. If Blurr's attentive he'll note that she is exceptionally clean and polished with bright new paint, and a small gold emblem resting just under her neck. "Well, it's required now," she hints.

"Required for what?" Blurr asks, totally clueless. Or at least acting it. "Wow, you look amazing." he compliments. "I mean, not that you -didn't- look amazing before, but you look even -better- now!"

If Feint is to attempt to investigate that liquid any further, what she finds might be rather disturbing. It appears to be some kind of neurotoxin, not a particularly potent one but a toxin nonetheless. And it's been used already. It's about halfway empty, and was likely sealed before but since it's been opened the seal is broken.

The fact that Blurr is carrying -neurotoxin- is disturbing in and of itself, but all that training's paid off, and Feint keeps a complete pokerface about it. "Do you remember me saying that I was going to put in a request with the Functionist council to be reassessed?" she grins, standing up and walking over to Blurr. "Well... I did."

"Ooh, right! Yeah I remember." Blurr grins. "So you did. And?" He goads her on.

"Well.. it was -shocking-!" Feint exclaims, earnest with the presentation of her feelings. She makes certain to keep everything very neatly contained within her own body, not allowing her emotions to go past that barrier. She's considering dropping her field back as well so that she doesn't see -everything-, but it makes her feel somewhat claustrophobic to not see beyond the walls and doors.

"Blurr... they granted me -altmode exemption-. I... I've been inducted into the House of Halogen." She's still breathless to say it.

Blurr's grin widens. "Wow! That's incredible Feint!" he pulls her into a hug. "Well I'd sure say you deserve it, anyway. After all the time you spent in the mines." he pauses briefly. "So, what now? So we get to be official, right? And, what else?" Suddenly he looks a bit frightened. "You don't have to leave, do you?"

"Well, Senator Halogen is having you investigated -- don't worry, you're not going to be put on trial or anything, he just wants to make certain you're an appropriate match." Feint sighs and shakes her head, looking aside within the warm confines of that hug. "Here I go trying to help keep us together and now there's -another- hurdle to jump through!" She looks back at Blurr and gives him a hopeful smile, wings rising a little higher against her back. "I don't have to leave but I -will- be required to have schooling and training. Being taken into this house means that I have the potential to-- I can't believe i'm saying this -- be /Senator of Kaon/. So there is A LOT I need to learn so that I be properly prepared."

"Senator of Kaon?" Blurr's optics go wide. "Wow. Just wow." He hugs her tighter. The investigation thing doesn't really faze him. He just shrugs. "Whatever, it doesn't matter what he decides, he can't stop us from being together whether it's 'official' or not. Official is just a nice little plus. But...congratulations!"

"Thank you. I'm really glad to be able to do this. I'm going to study medicine, psychology, everything about healing and repairing I can so that I can be the most help to the most amount of people. Saving people's lives is something I've always wanted to do, and now? It almost seems to good to be true, but I can chase that dream," Feint says in a rush of excitement.

The neurotoxin nags at her. "... I have to ask though, sweetspark - why are you carrying around a vial of opened poison?"

Blurr nods enthusiastically at all of her dreams coming true. "I know, right? It's amazing, I'm so happy for you!" He pats her back fondly. "Now you don't have to feel helpless anymore."

And then she drops the bomb. He freezes, and suddenly looks nervous. He'd been hoping she wouldn't notice, but with her abilities how could she not? "Uhmwell..." Oh what could he say to her? "Poisonwellnoit'snotpoisonit'sjustum...." He stares at the floor. "ImeanIjustfounditsomewhereandIwasn'tsurewhatitwasbutIdidn'twanttojustthrowitaway." He's doing that thing again, where he talks -extra- fast when he's anxious.

Feint isn't going to let this drop, but she's not going to just charge in guns blazing either. "Okay, now I know something's up because your speech has gone from zero to sixty in three microns." She maintains the sort of curled smile that says 'you're busted'. "Just tell me the truth if you aren't; I realize you're nervous but it's all right to come clean about what's happening. We haven't even really talked about, well, /last time/, and I'm worried about you. I have been for awhile. You're half the reason I wanted to go into medicine in the first place!"

Blurr sighs, appearing to settle down a little bit, but he's still on edge. How can he explain this to her? He tried to before, but he couldn't seem to get her to understand. "It'snothingreallydon'tworryaboutit...that...lasttimewasjustabadstasisvisionIhadonetimenothingtodowithanythingatallreally." He's still staring at the floor. "Honestly, I just found it and I was um, just curious. I didn't -think- it was poison." Yeah, he's just going to go with that story.

Feint sighs a little sigh-cloud. "Sweetspark, you know I'm going to know you're lying next time we interface. I can already tell you're fibbing a little now." She tries to encourage him to just give it another shot. "Is this something you've been using against the terrorists again? Because this is the sort of thing that's going to be investigated. In fact, I've been writing a letter to Cipher and the IAA about all of this, because the only thing I've wanted out of all the trouble we've been through is the -truth-."

Blurr didn't think he'd be able to lie to Feint too well. He can lie to just about anyone else. But her? It's different with her. She gives him another idea, though, and he nods quickly at her suggestion that it's something he's using against terrorists. "Yeah, yeah. You could say that. I just wasn't sure how to explain it, that's all. I--wasn't supposed to tell anyone else about it. But," he laughs a little. "It's so hard to keep anything from -you-! Just don't tell anyone else you saw, okay? Because...because then they might take you away from me."

Feint reaches up and touches a finger to his lips. "No Blurr," she says softly. "/I'm/ the one with the power this time. No one can take me away from you, and no one can take you away from me, ever again."

"WellIknowbut--" Blurr sighs. "I know, they can't take you away, but what I really should have said is that they might take -me- away from -you-. I'm a soldier now, they can order me not to see you any more."

He stares at the floor again. "I...I'dbettergetsomerestcycles." He turns to leave. "Having two jobs still requires more energy, even if you're as fast as me." The speedster allows himself a small smile, then excuses himself to his private quarters...oddly enough, with that tube still in his hand. If it is indeed something he was to use against terrorists, why is he taking it to his stasis chambers with him?

"I hardly ever see you and now you're running off to recharge -- with poison?" Feint asks, completely confused now. And just a hair bit irritated at this situation. Ohhh she is going to have some words with Cipher. -Soon-.

"Uhm...er..." Blurr glances nervously back at her, and quickly subspaces the toxin. "Well no, I was just going to keep it in a more secure area in my quarters. You know it's classified and all that."

And before she can say any more, he hurries up and shuffles away from her back to his room.

But, if she is -really- concerned and decides to peer through the walls of his room, she would catch sight of him sitting on his recharge slab and injecting -himself- with the stuff...

If Blurr thinks he's got privacy around Feint he's joking, especially when he's acting squirrelly and carrying around DEADLY NEUROTOXIN. She sighs when she sees what he's doing. Oh so very yes, we'll be talking to Cipher. ASAP.
